**** It is the third Tuesday of the month, which means both the Rock Spring and Green River City Councils will be in regular sessions tonight at 7 p.m. Agendas for both meetings can be found here.

**** The Research & Planning section of the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services is reporting Sweetwater County’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate increased to 7.1% in June, up from May’s 6.4%. Wyoming’s June unemployment rate was unchanged at  5.4%, slightly lower than the nation’s 5.9% rate.

**** The Green River Youth Football League sign-ups begin today from 5 to 8:30 p.m. at the Green River Recreation Center. The league is for incoming 4th, 5th, and 6th graders. **** Yesterday afternoon, Sweetwater County Public Health Officer Dr. Jean Stachon stated there were seven known cases of the COVID-19 delta variant here in the county. She also said there might well be more delta cases locally, but due to advancements in-home testing, not all cases are reported to Wyoming Health officials. Stachon said Sweetwater County has an overall vaccination rate of just over 29%, with a large portion of the vaccinated community being age 60 and above.

**** Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County will be hosting a COVID-19 Vaccine Drive-Thru tomorrow from 3 – 6 p.m. The Modena or Johnson & Johnson vaccine is available for anyone 18 and older, with no appointments required. The “Drive-Thru” event will occur under the main hospital entrance at 1200 College Drive in Rock Springs.
