**** The National Weather Service in Riverton has extended Air Quality Alerts for much of our region for today. Wildfire smoke from the western U.S. wildfires will continue to impact air quality in our area and across much of the state.

**** No recent updated information has been sent out on the condition of former Wyoming Senator Mike Enzi, who was life-flighted to a Colorado hospital Friday. Enzi was hurt in a bicycle accident on Friday. The last report on his condition came from a personal friend in Gillette who stated Enzi was at a hospital in Loveland, Colorado, and was sedated. The 77-year-old Enzi served as a Wyoming U.S. Senator for 24-years before retiring this past January.

**** Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County will have another drive-thru COVID vaccination clinic this Wednesday from 3 to 6 p.m. The Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines will be available for those 18 and older. The drive-thru clinic will take place at the hospital’s main entrance off College Drive.

**** Less than five weeks away from the first high school football game of the season in Wyoming. The state’s 4A teams open season play on Friday, August 27.

**** Tickets for the October acoustic concert at the Broadway Theater by 90’s county star Tracy Byrd will “probably go on sale Friday,” according to a press release from the Downtown Rock Springs URA. Tracy Byrd’s performance in Rock Springs is scheduled for October 11. Tickets will be available online at Broadwayrs.com, then click on the events tab.

**** The Green River Knights saw their baseball season come to an end Sunday with an 11-10 loss to Lovell at the A-State Tournament in Cheyenne. Lovell will play Powell in a loser-out game this afternoon.

**** The Rock Springs Stallions will start play today at the AA-State baseball tournament in Laramie. Rock Springs opens play at 4 p.m. against the defending state champion Cheyenne Sixers.
