October 14, 2021 — Here is a recap of this morning’s Wyoming local stories

**** We do have a chance of some snow showers this morning, with partly sunny skies later today. Wind could gust to near 35 mph this afternoon and continue into the night. High today 39, Low tonight at 18. Friday will still be breezy with a high of 43. The weekend will be warmer with highs in the mid to upper 50s.

**** According to the National Weather Service in Riverton, Rock Springs officially received 6.5 inches of snow on Tuesday, with Green River receiving 4.5 inches. Pinedale was just under five inches. Snow total in the Casper area ranged from 12 to 17 inches, with areas in the northeast part of the state reporting up to 20 inches of the white stuff.

**** This morning, City of Green River crews will be cleaning up all the tumbleweeds that have gathered at the Union Pacific underpass. As a result, motorists will experience some one-way traffic on Second South Street with flaggers on duty.

**** Sweetwater School District Number One, in partnership with Public Health, will be offering a COVID19 vaccine clinic for those 12 and older at Rock Springs High School library tomorrow from 11:30 a .m. to 1:30 p.m. The Pfizer vaccine will be the only vaccine available at this time for anyone 12 years and older. **** The walking track at the Rock Springs Family Recreation Center gym is scheduled to reopen today, with the refinished gym floor scheduled to reopen on Friday, October 22. The gym has been closed since mid-September for the floor to be repaired and refinished due to water damage.

**** In area high school volleyball today, Green River will travel to Evanston, Rock Springs also on the road at Riverton, Mountain View will be at Kemmerer, and Lyman is at Pinedale.

**** The Rock Springs Tiger held on to their #1 ranking in the latest WyoPreps 4A high school football poll. Lyman is still in the top spot of the 2A poll.
