October 18, 2021 — Here is a recap of this morning’s top Wyo4News local stories.

**** We should be mostly sunny this morning with cloudy skies taking over this afternoon. We have a chance of rain later today and possible snow showers tonight and Tuesday morning with some accumulation possible. Most likely an inch or less. High today – 56. Low tonight – 28. Tuesday’s High – 35 Warmer Wednesday at 46.

**** A notice to travelers, a Winter Storm Watch has been issued for portions of central Wyoming from late Monday night through late Tuesday evening. This area includes the northern higher elevations of Sweetwater County going over South Pass and most of Natrona County, possibly impacting road conditions on I25 and roads in the higher elevations.

**** Yellowstone National Park recorded their busiest September ever, hosting just under 873,000 visits. Yellowstone surpassed the four-million mark in visitors to date for the first time with 4,463,599 visitors through the end of last month, up 32 for 2020 and 19% from 2019.

 **** Late Sunday afternoon, the Rock Springs Police put out a warning to citizens of five suspects that were working a wallet stealing scheme. The suspects would distract stores customers and steal their wallets. The suspects would then purchase gift cards prior to the victim knowing their wallet was missing. This was reported to have occurred in various local businesses. The RSPD investigation is continuing.

**** If you are afraid of ghosts, then Wyoming is a very good place to live. According to the website treetopia.com, Wyoming is the third least haunted state in the United States based on the number of reported ghost sightings. Only Delaware and Hawai’i are shown to have had fewer reports of ghosts. The states to avoid would be Texas and California. Both, by far, have had the most ghost sightings.
