ROCK SPRINGS, WYOMING (July 14, 2021) – WyoGives is a statewide event that brings together different communities in order to give back to the different nonprofits and help their cause.

United Way of Southwest Wyoming and YWCA of Sweetwater County were trying to put something together for this year’s WyoGives, which fell on Wednesday, July 14, and it turned into a Charity Chow Down at Bunning Park that included a total of 11 different nonprofits.

Those nonprofits include Golden Hour Senior Center, Boys and Girls Club of Sweetwater County, Ray Lovato Recycling Center, YWCA of Sweetwater County, Western Wyoming Family Planning, Hospice of Sweetwater County, Actor’s Mission, United Way of Southwest Wyoming, WWC Foundation, Young at Heart Senior Center and Climb Wyoming.

“It’s a great way to raise funds and spread awareness of what our missions are,” said Kayla Mannikko of YWCA.

People can donate hundreds of different nonprofits at WyoGives.com until midnight tonight, where they’re donation will get matched. “Different foundations will choose different organizations to sponsor,” Mannikko said. “In particular, YWCA has three different matches, which means if you donate $5 online, it’s going to triple and become $15.”
