Rock Springs, WY (1/26/19) – With both Wyoming basketball teams coming off Mountain West Conference wins last Wednesday against cellar dwelling San Jose State teams, the competition picks up today when both the Cowgirls and Cowboys take on Boise State.
The Cowgirls (3-3 in MWC, 10-5 overall) will have quite the task ahead of them as they host the league leading Lady Broncs (6-0, 15-2). Back on January 2nd, the two teams met in Boise in a back in forth game in which the Lady Broncs came away with a 72-64 win. The Cowgirls are hoping the home court will be on their side today as they sports an 8-1 record at the Double A.
Today’s Cowgirl/Boise State game will be broadcast on WyoRadio’s 1360 KRKK beginning at 12:30 p.m. with tip-off at 1:00 p.m. The game will also be streamed on 1360KRKK.com.
Meanwhile, the Wyoming Cowboys (1-5, 5-14) travel to Boise State (3-3, 8-11) for an afternoon game. This past Wednesday, the Pokes stopped their five game losing streak with a 59-46 home win over San Jose State. Boise State is coming off a 74-60 loss at Air Force Tuesday night. The Broncs won the first meeting of the year,69-55, in Laramie back on January 2nd.
