Clovis, CA (5/12/19) – Wyoming Cowgirl senior Jerayah Davis became the first Cowgirl to be named the Women’s Outstanding Performer at the Mountain West Championship in Clovis, California.  Davis would score 27 points over four events. That was the highest point total of any individual athlete, female or male, at the meet.

“Jerayah had an amazing competition, winning two individual titles and scoring 27 team points,” said UW head coach Bryan Berryhill. “It was one of the most impressive two-day efforts I’ve ever seen at a conference championship. She is very deserving of being named Athlete of the Meet, and I’m excited to see how she does in two weeks at the NCAA preliminaries.”

Davis continued her impressive weekend with a 100-meter dash championship with a time of 11.35 seconds.  This was after she won the long jump on Friday. Davis also took fourth in the 200m dash with a personal best time of 23.57 and then ran the first leg of the women’s 4x100m relay that took second.
