Harold Stanton, 82, passed away Saturday, July 3, 2021 in Rock Springs, Wyoming following a sudden illness. Mr. Stanton was a resident of Rock Springs for the last 50 years and a former resident of Michigan, California, and Wisconsin.
Harold was born September 14, 1938 in Petoskey, Michigan; the son of Lawrence Homer Stanton and Edna Irene Knuckles.
He attended schools in East Jordan, Michigan.
Mr. Stanton married Janet Strickland; they had three children, and later divorced. Harold married Billie Bagshaw on November 20, 1995 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Mr. Stanton owned and operated L&S Fencing for over 46 years.
He enjoyed snowmobiling; working; fishing; boating; traveling, and shooting pool.
Survivors include his wife, Billie Stanton of Rock Springs, Wyoming; two sons, Lawrence Stanton and wife Teri of Magna, Utah; Louis Stanton Jr. and wife Rizalyn Remiloza-Stanton of Rock Springs, Wyoming; one daughter, Cindy Medau of Salt Lake City, Utah; two sisters, Louise Stanton Harris of Graham, Washington; Danette Cool of East Jordan, Michigan; first wife, Janet Strickland of Saint George, Utah; as well as several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; nephew; and cousins.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Lawrence “Larry” Stanton.
Following Cremation, a Celebration of Life will be conducted at 11 A.M. Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Arthur Park, 3308 College Drive, Rock Springs, Wyoming.
