Sandra Dee Flaten (January 5, 1964 – January 17, 2021)

Sandra Dee Flaten

Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend — Sandy passed away on January 17, 2021 surrounded by her sons.

Born in Liberal, Kansas to parents Forrest “Bud” and Jenny Cunningham, Sandy moved to Utah with her mother and siblings; Brenda, Rose, and Craig, later in her youth.

Sandy gave birth to three boys; Brandon, Cody, and Tony, eventually moving to Green River, WY to start anew. The strong woman that she was, Sandy worked tirelessly to ensure her family was taken care of all throughout her life.

Sandy had an adventurous spirit and loved to travel. As an avid fisherman and lover of the great outdoors, she also enjoyed boating, camping, riding ATVs, and just sitting around a nice campfire with her friends and family.

Sandy is survived by her son Brandon and his children Alyze and Kayleb and their mother Ann, son Cody and his fiancé Loleni, son Tony and his wife Kylee, and their children Tehya and Kason, stepson TC and his son Jayce, stepson Ryan and his daughter Emma, and stepson Erik, as well as sister Rose Hamblin, brother Craig Cunningham, and many nieces and nephews.

Sandy was predeceased by her mother, father, sister Brenda, and husband Rich Flaten.

Celebration of the life of Sandy will be held at the Pioneer Trails Picnic Grounds main pavilion on Saturday, July 10, at 1 p.m. We will be barbecuing and remembering all the good times.
