Rock Springs High School has announced their Make-A-Wish Spirit Days calendar for the 2019 Sweetwater County Make-A-Wish Fundraiser.

The fundraising events began Thursday, February 7 and will continue through February 21. This event is a competition between both Rock Springs and Green River High Schools, but overall funds are pooled together to represent Sweetwater County.
The schools participate in a program called Kids for Wish Kids, which encourages high school students to raise money for children who are battling life-threatening medical conditions.
According to Make-A-Wish Wyoming, the program began in Wyoming in the year 2000 with five schools that raised $2,219. Sweetwater County’s high schools became involved with the program in 2004, raising a combined $1,569 that year. Last year, Green River and Rock Springs high schools raised just over $61,000.

All donations will be recognized during the Make-A-Wish announcement at the game between Green River and Rock Springs on February 21st at RSHS.

Friday, February 15th
– Community Traveling Bake Sale
– McDonald’s McWish Nlght, 5 pm-7 pm, 1687 Sunset Dr., Rock Springs
Saturday, February 16th
– Children’s Bouncy House Event 11 am – 2 pm, RS Civic Center
Face painting by Transformations Face Painting
Donation required
– Arby’s Day, 5 pm -8 pm
– Street change drive with GRHS, 12 pm – 2pm in GR
Monday, February 18th
– Dance & Cheer Camp for kids K-4, 2 pm-5 pm
Lincoln Elementary School
Will perform at MAW game
– Community Volleyball tournament, 12:30 pm – 2 pm
$5 per person, max of 8 per team
– Pound and Zumba Fitness Fundraiser, 6 pm, RS Rec Center

Wednesday, February 20th:
– Cafe Rio Night
Must present voucher at checkout
Thursday, February 21st
– Make-A-Wish Game at RSHS, 7:30 pm
