“We are excited to go up to Casper,” head coach Dean Clower said. “It means the world for us to play at the Wyoming Athletic Club and in a front of the tennis community and the fans. We are expecting a good crowd and the team and I are really looking forward to it.”

The Cowgirls enter the weekend with a 5-5 record overall earning a 7-0 victory over Eastern Washington last time out. Junior Ana Royo is currently 13-10 overall and 4-4 during spring action. Freshmen Maria Oreshkina and Mihaela Kaftanova are 11-9 and 11-10, respectively. Seniors Elisa Koonik and Tessa van Der Ploeg are 5-3 and 4-5 this spring.

“We are also happy to finally being able to play in front of our fans who are the best in the country. The upperclassmen have been telling the younger players what it’s like to play here. This is one of the toughest places to play at and our home record shows it. This weekend, we are looking for a lot of match experience. With being a younger team that is one thing our team doesn’t have but we are fiery and have a lot of athletic ability.”

Montana State enters the weekend with a 3-6 overall record and 1-2 in Big Sky action. This will be the 13th meeting between the two schools. Wyoming leads the series 10-2. The last time the two met was February 11, 2017 with the Cowgirls coming out on top 6-1 in Laramie. MSU is coached by Jon Reeves who is in his fourth season with the program.
