Four Sweetwater County Residents To Compete At World Horseshoe Tournament

Four Sweetwater County residents will compete on a world stage at the World Horseshoe Tournament in St. George, Utah this month.

Rock Springs horseshoe pitcher Lane Durrans and Green River pitchers Nathan Gomez, John Rundell, and Leo Rundell will join 15 other Wyoming residents at the World Tournament.

Participants are placed in classes based on ringer percentage and will each compete over a three-day period. The tournament runs July 17th through the 29th at the Dixie Center in St. George.

Lane Durrans enters the tournament with a 37.71 ringer percentage and will compete in Men’s D1 class. He will pitch July 20th, 21st, and 22nd.

Nathan Gomez enters the tournament with a 34.02 ringer percentage. He will pitch in Men’s E2 class on July 17th, 18th, and 19th.

John Rundell

John Rundell enters the tournament with a 31.81 ringer percentage and will pitch in Men’s F1 class. He will compete July 17th, 18th, and 19th.

Leo Rundell

Leo Rundell enters the competition with a ringer percentage of 29.41 percent. He will pitch in Elder’s G2 class on July 17th, 18th, and 19th.
