Free Track & Field Fun Meet happening Monday at RSHS

ROCK SPRINGS, WYOMING (June 24, 2021) – Got a track athlete who is looking to hone their skills before the school year begins? Or perhaps there’s a little one running around the house who needs to get out and release some pint-up energy?

The Rock Springs Civic Center is hosting a Track and Field Fun Meet on Monday, June 28, at the Rock Springs High School track.

 

“This event is a lot of fun for children to compete in a fun atmosphere. It’s a great way to start the week with a little exercise,” said JJ Syvrud, superintendent of civic center programs.

There will be six different races and some field events, like a softball throw and broad jump.

Kids from the ages of 3 to 18 years old are invited to join. They will be separated and arranged by age group.

Lace up the sneakers and don’t forget to bring some water. The event is completely free.

The Track and Field Fun Meet is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.
