The boom in the 1970’s brought many new businesses to Rock Springs. At that time, Haddock’s was the first gas station/convenience store on Elk Street. In 1986, an addition was built onto Haddock’s and the Saddle-Lite Saloon was established.

In 2007 Tim Self, the current owner, bought the saloon. Later, Haddock’s sold to another ownership group and the name changed to the 24-hour C Store.

The Saddle-Lite Saloon has seven current employees with Norma Jean holding the longest tenure of 28 years. She has also been honored in the saloon with her very own area, commonly known and etched in the bar as “Norma’s Waitress Station”.

The Saddle-Lite Saloon is a country/western bar that offers adult beverages and features a different drink special every day. They provide many forms of quality entertainment from dance lessons every Tuesday evening to live music almost every weekend, and the largest dance floor in southwest Wyoming.

You can always check out what’s going on through a list of special events posted daily on the Saddle-Lite Saloon Facebook page.
