The Green River Recreation Center has installed a new cutting-edge security camera system. According to a press release from the City of Green River, the newly installed cameras “Serve as a vital tool in bolstering surveillance capabilities across the Recreation Center premises. Designed to provide comprehensive coverage of areas previously under limited supervision due to staffing constraints, these cameras offer real-time monitoring and enhanced oversight.”
The City further stated, “The installation of the camera system represents a significant step forward in the ongoing efforts to modernize and improve the Recreation Center, which has served the community for over 40 years.  As the City of Green River continues to prioritize investments in its recreational assets, initiatives like this underscore a steadfast commitment to ensuring the well-being and enjoyment of residents and visitors alike.” Â
The new security camera system funds were made possible by a grant from the Wyoming Office of Homeland Security. It was also a collaborative effort between the Green River Recreation Center and Information Technology staff and Dynamic Controls Inc. of Casper. Â Â
