RS Soccer Teams In Top Five Of WyoPrep’s Rankings, GR Misses Out

WyoPreps has released their soccer rankings for the week. Both Rock Springs teams are in the top five after their first week of competition. The Green River teams did not crack the top five.

The Tigers (4-2) come into the week ranked fourth in 4A after finishing fourth in the Pinnacle Cup Tournament last weekend in Worland. Laramie takes the top spot, with Thunder Basin in second, Cheyenne Central in third, and Campbell County coming in fifth place behind the Tigers.

The undefeated Lady Tigers (6-0) go into the week ranked fifth in 4A after winning the 2019 Todd Malonek Southwest Invitational last weekend in Green River. Thunder Basin is first, followed by Cheyenne Central, Laramie, then Cheyenne East.

Rock Springs and Green River will not be in action this week. The Wolves finished ninth at the Pinnacle Cup Tournament last weekend, and are 3-1 on the season, while the Lady Wolves are 2-1 after hosting the 2019 Todd Malonek Southwest Invitational. On a side note, the Lady Tigers have not given up a goal in their first six games this season.
