The Rock Springs Police Department is investigating a vehicle that crashed into the Youth Crisis Center late Thursday night.

According to reports from the RSPD, on March 23, 2017 at approximately 10:56 p.m., officers of the Rock Springs Police Department were dispatched to the Sweetwater Youth Crisis Center at 3801 Sweetwater Drive for a vehicle that had crashed into the building.

Upon arrival, officers found that two vehicles had crashed into the building. Investigation revealed that a maroon Nissan Armada had crashed through a residential fence nearby and subsequently crashed into a parked white truck in the parking lot of the Youth Crisis Center. The force of the SUV hitting the truck forced both vehicles into the building.

Two juvenile occupants inside the building were transported to Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County for evaluation of injuries. The driver of the SUV was transported to Salt Lake City, Utah for treatment of injuries.

Contributing factors and the cause of the crash are under investigation.
