Rock Springs, WY (5/5/19) – The Rock Springs Sand Puppies American Legion baseball team scored a couple of victories Saturday at the Wataha Sports Complex in Rock Springs on the opening day of their two day Invitational.

Rock Springs opened play with a 14-9 win over the Riverton Raiders and wrapped up the day with a close 10-9 win over the Green River Knights. Today, the Sand Puppies will take on the Evanston Outlaws at 2:00 p.m. and will play Riverton again at 4:00 p.m.

The Green River Knights opened their play on Saturday losing to Evanston, 20-2, before the loss to Rock Springs Saturday evening. The Knights will look to bounce back this morning when they once again go up against Evanston at 9:00 a.m. They will also play Riverton at 11:30 a.m.
Evanston started Saturday with a 26-0 win over Riverton.
