The Rock Springs Tigers and Green River Wolves both scored two wins yesterday at the opening day of the Pinnacle Challengers Cup Tournament in Worland. Â The tournament will conclude today.
Rock Springs, rated number five in this week’s 4A soccer poll, opened play with a 1-0 win over number one rated 3A Cody. Â Later in the day the Tigers defeated Riverton, rated fourth in the 3A polls, 2-0. Â Today, they open play against Worland.
The Green River boys defeated Douglas in their opening round match 3-1 and then Lander 1-0. Â The Wolves will go against Evanston this morning.
After this morning’s matches, teams will be play one more match to be determined by their records. Â This final match will determine their tournament placings.
