The Rock Springs Tigers fought back to defeat Cheyenne East last night 55-49 in overtime to move into the semi-finals of the 4A State Tournament in Casper. Â The Tigers, the second seed from the West, will take on the East top seed Gillette tonight at 9:00 pm. Â The Camels easily defeated Casper Natrona 77-55.
The Rock Springs Lady Tigers came into the tournament with the number one seed out of the East, but they couldn’t keep the momentum of winning last weeks Regional Tournament as they lost to Laramie, the East number four seed, 43-36. Â Rock Springs drops into the consolation bracket where they play Evanston at 10:30 am. Â Evanston lost 52-34 to Cheyenne East.
Both Rock Springs games will be broadcast on 1360 KRKK. Â The Lady Tigers broadcast will start at 10:15 am with the Tigers semi-final game around 8:46 pm. Â Both games will also be streamed on 1360KRKK.com.
