Wolves Lose In Quarterfinal To Cheyenne East At State Soccer

Jackson, WY (5/16/19) – The Green River Wolves lost a tough match to the Cheyenne East Thunderbirds, 2-1, in their quarterfinal match at the 4A Boys State Soccer Tournament in Jackson on Thursday afternoon.

The loss puts the Wolves in the consolation round, as they will face the Kelly Walsh Trojans Friday morning at 11 a.m. The Trojans lost their match to the Thunder Basin Bolts 3-1, in their quarterfinal match Thursday afternoon.

The Wolves drop to 9-9-2 on the season, while the Trojans go to 8-8-1 after the loss. The loser of this match will see their season come to an end, while the other will play in the Consolation Championship match on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. The winner of the Wolves and Trojans will face the winner of the other consolation match between the Cheyenne Central Indians and Campbell County Camels. The loser of the Indians and Camels will see their season come to an end.
