The incident happened Monday, Jan. 21, near MM 182 on I-80, which is west of Rawlins between Wamsutter and Creston Junction.

A semi-truck hit the back of the snowplow while it was working to clear the road. The semi did not stop and continued down I-80, while the plow driver pulled over to file a report with the Wyoming Highway Patrol, as per protocol.

The sander of the plow was damaged and will need to be repaired.

The crash serves as a reminder to drivers of all vehicles to be aware of snow removal equipment during winter conditions.
