Everett “Ev” Johnson, 91, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022, at his home in Rock Springs, Wyoming. He was a life-long resident of Rock Springs, Wyoming.
He was born December 25, 1930 in Rock Springs, Wyoming; the son of Peter A. Johnson and Margaret Stavran.
Ev attended school in Rock Springs, Wyoming, and was a 1949 graduate of Rock Springs High School. He attended college at the University of Wyoming and Utah State.
He was a United States Air force Veteran from 1953 until 1958.
Ev married Lois Johnson on April 2, 1982 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
He worked for the United States Postal Service for many years. He also worked for the City of Rock Springs at the White Mountain Golf Course until his retirement in 2011 as a Groundskeeper.
Ev volunteered his time at Young at Heart and delivered Meals on Wheels for over forty years.
He loved spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed hunting; fishing and spending time at the family ranch. Everett liked going for walks with his wife around town visiting with people in the community.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Johnson of Rock Springs, Wyoming; two sisters; Sally Roehler of Fairmont, Minnesota; Belva Goglio of North Hampton, Massachusetts; several cousins; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Following cremation; there will be no services at his request.
