Robert A. Jones, 62 passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022 at his home in Rock Springs, Wyoming. He was a resident of Rock Springs, Wyoming for 49 years and a former resident of Moore, Oklahoma.
He was born June 22, 1959, in Beloit, Kansas; the son of LaVern Ray Jones and Emma Diane Wagner.
Mr. Jones attended schools in Rock Springs, Wyoming. He obtained his GED.
He was a United States Veteran in the United States Marines in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Mr. Jones married Gina Kay Wright on May 14, 1982 in Rock Springs, Wyoming.
He worked for North Park Transportation for 14 years and recently retired as a Long-Haul Driver.
Mr. Jones enjoyed woodworking; riding his motorcycle; shooting; hunting; and camping but he was especially proud of his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife Gina K. Jones of Rock Springs, Wyoming; one son, Brandon Jones of Rock Springs, Wyoming; three daughters, Breanna Martin and husband Brett of Cyprus, Texas; Savannah Walker and husband Zach of Rock Springs, Wyoming; Krystal Smith and husband Bob of Blair, Nebraska; one brother; Lee Jones of Rock Springs, Wyoming; two sisters, Jody Reese and husband Leeland of Rock Springs, Wyoming; Dee Garcia and husband Sam of Rock Springs, Wyoming; one brother-in-law, Michael Scarbrough of Rock Springs, Wyoming; seven grandchildren, Owen Martin; Madison Martin; Gabriel Jones; Isabella Jones; Kathrine Matzen; Ethan Matzen; Conner Marsh as well as several aunts; uncles; cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, paternal grandparents, Otis and Vivian Wagner; maternal grandparents, Armal and Helen Jones.
Cremation will take place; a Celebration of Life will be conducted at a later date.
