Vonnie Lee “Sissy” Bogar

Vonnie Lee “Sissy” Bogart, 60, passed away Monday, October 4, 2021 at her home in Rock Springs, Wyoming.  She died following a lengthy illness surrounded by her loving family and friends.  She was a long-time resident of Rock Springs, Wyoming, and a former resident of Liberal, Missouri.

She was born September 30, 1961 at Ft. Scott Kansas; the daughter of Ben Harrison Bogart and Hazel Rolando.  

Ms. Bogart has lived with disabilities her whole life, without being able to speak she had a following of many people who loved and cared deeply for her.  She touched many lives and will never be forgotten.

She enjoyed her classical and gospel music. Vonnie loved her dogs but “Big Lou” was her favorite.  Ms. Bogart loved to sit in the sun and watch the birds.  Most of all she had fun teasing her sisters.  

Ms. Bogart was a Christian.

Survivors include one brother, Linn Bogart and wife Jennie of LaVerkin, Utah; three sisters, Connie McQueen of Rock Springs, Wyoming; Bonnie Cullison and husband Derill of Nevada, Missouri; Lorie Rivera and husband Alan of Rock Springs, Wyoming; one aunt, Margaret VanDorn; several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Larry Bogart; maternal grandparents Anthony Rolando and wife Sara; paternal grandparents, Ernest Bogart and wife Laminda “Mindy”.

Friends may call at 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 8, 2021 at the Vase Funeral Chapel, 154 Elk Street, Rock Springs, Wyoming.

Funeral Services are pending in Missouri.
