ROCK SPRINGS, WYOMING (October 7, 2021) — This week’s Rock Springs Student-Athlete of the Week is Corallee Weinreich. Corallee is a 12th grader that plays soccer as the right-back defense.

Corallee’s sister Keyonna Weinreich nominated her because she has a good personality and is a strong athlete. Also, she says because Corallee was a State Champ who worked hard for a starting spot.

Corallee choose soccer because it felt natural to play, it came easy. Her favorite part of the game is the knowledge. There is no better feeling than seeing a through ball coming through the back line and stopping it.

Corallee talks about how her dad motivates her. “My dad makes me want to push harder. Every time I step on the field I can feel him still watching me.” She talks about how her mom is who she looks up to every day. “She shows me how to be strong and go after anything you want.”

Her future plan at the moment is to pursue her college degree in Engineering. When asked what other sports she plays, she responded, “I only play soccer year around.”
